Grief Counselling

Losing someone or something can be a difficult time in a person’s life and leave a void that’s hard to overcome.

Grief Counselling

Grief and bereavement are a natural part of life and can have an impact on us if we are not prepared to deal with them. Discussing grief can sometimes be considered a negative topic that is not openly discussed which results in few people understanding how to process and respond to their grief or that of someone else. What you resist, persists. Reach out today.

What is Grief?

Grief can be understood as the emotional distress you may feel when something or someone you loved or are attached to is taken away.

What you can do?

Everyone responds to their grief differently and it is important to be present in the moment to know what you need and advocate for it. Some people need quiet to allow themselves the space and time to reflect while others need support by talking about it. Whatever your need is, I am here to support you.

How do I provide support?

I provide you with an opportunity to be open and honest about what you are going through. I help you process and navigate your thoughts and feelings so you can better cope and process your loss.

Food For Thought

There are a few quotes that have been impactful in my growth and development and here is one that you may find helpful.

“Grief is love’s souvenir. It’s our proof that we once loved. Grief is the receipt we wave in the air that says to the world: Look! Love was once mine. I love well. Here is my proof that I paid the price.”
